For students

Student apartment in San Sebastián

A whole academic year living ten minutes from the sea. Furnished apartment, wifi, a clear contract — and a local team that sorts everything out for you. You focus on what matters: studying (and living Donostia).

How it works

Your year, sorted from day one

Student accommodation in Donostia works with a temporary rental contract: from one month to twelve, and the full academic year —September to June— fits naturally. Your arrival is planned with you, no surprises.

The deposit is one month's rent for stays of up to six months; for the full academic year it is calculated in proportion to the contract months. Utilities are not included: they are deducted from the deposit at the end of the stay, with no change of account holder and no electricity or water contracts in your name.

Apartments are handed over furnished and ready to move in, with wifi working from day one: bed made with the initial linen set, equipped kitchen and zero set-up paperwork.

Each apartment's prices are published on the apartments page; for any specific question, send a WhatsApp message and we'll give you a clear answer.

Your year here

The year you remember for life

There are cities where you study and cities where you live while you study. Donostia is one of the latter: notes on the beach at sunrise, pintxos after class, Zurriola full of surfboards on Saturdays and the Old Town full of friends on Thursdays. A year here isn't just a course: it's THE year.

And that year starts with where you live. Sharing just any flat is not the same as opening the door of a properly furnished one, with wifi from day one and a local person on the other end of WhatsApp when something goes wrong.

That's why the students who choose us repeat the plan with their siblings, friends and classmates: because here nobody has to chase a landlord, the terms are in writing before you pay anything and the apartments are the ones in the photos — because the photos are real.

You choose the neighbourhood and we do the rest. In June, when you hand over the keys, what you'll take from Donostia won't be the apartment: it'll be the friends, the sea and the wish to come back. The apartment will simply have worked.

Basque Culinary Center

Accommodation for Basque Culinary Center students

We regularly host Basque Culinary Center students. The BCC now lives in two places: its Miramón campus and its new GOe building in Gros — and depending on which one you attend, a different neighbourhood suits you.

For Miramón, the best located in our portfolio are those in Antiguo and Aiete — the city's natural way out towards the campus. And Miramar II, the twin of the first one in the same building, also takes full academic years — ask us for the photos and the dates:

And for the GOe in Gros, our apartments in the neighbourhood itself — Zurriola and Kursaal — put your course, the sea and the pintxos on the same block. All of them take full academic years from September to June; if several classmates are coming, tell us how many you are and we'll suggest how to split up.

Peace of mind in writing

We know that parents often follow the booking from home. That's why everything is in writing and before any payment: rent, deposit, utilities, dates and terms, in a temporary rental contract in the right person's name.

During the year there is one contact person from the local team: any issue with the apartment is reported on WhatsApp and handled, without anyone having to chase a landlord.

The whole process, in four steps: 1 you tell us campus, dates and how many you are · 2 we suggest specific apartments with their listing and real photos · 3 you ask us anything you need to know on WhatsApp · 4 contract and deposit remotely, and the apartment is reserved.

If something doesn't fit, we say so clearly and look for alternatives. We'd rather give an honest no than a yes with small print.

Areas and campuses

Every campus has its neighbourhood

EHU/UPV, Tecnun and Musikene (Ibaeta) — the city's big university area. Its natural base is the Antiguo and Ondarreta area: see the guides to Ondarreta and Aiete, with the beach on the way to class.

Basque Culinary Center — Miramón from Antiguo and Aiete; the new GOe in Gros, from Gros itself: the guide to living in Gros tells you about the neighbourhood.

Deusto (Mundaiz campus) — by the Urumea: Egia with Tabakalera and Cristina Enea, and Gros across the river.

Student life in the Centre — if you'd rather have everything on foot, the guides to the Centre and Amara (the practical neighbourhood, well connected to every campus) tell you what living in each is like.

Friendlier budget — Lasarte-Oria and Urnieta, well connected to the city by public transport.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions from students

What are the minimum and maximum stays?

One month minimum and twelve maximum, with a temporary rental contract; the full academic year, September to June, fits naturally.

How much is the deposit?

One month's rent for stays of up to six months. For longer stays, such as the full academic year, it is proportional to the length: two months' rent per contract year, in proportion to the months it lasts. It is returned at the end of the stay, once the apartment has been checked and utilities deducted.

Are utilities included?

No: electricity, water, gas and wifi are paid by the tenant, are not included in the rent and are deducted from the deposit at the end of the stay. Every apartment has wifi installed.

What happens in summer?

The academic-year contract runs until June. If you need to stay in July or August, tell us as soon as possible: those months work as a separate season and are arranged depending on the apartment.

Can several students share an apartment?

It depends on the apartment and the number of people. Write to us on WhatsApp with how many you are and what you're looking for, and we'll tell you which options fit.

What do I need to book?

The full name, ID or passport and home address of each tenant, and the course dates. With that we prepare the temporary rental contract; the apartment is reserved with the signature and the deposit.

How do I book from outside Spain?

Without coming to see it: all the real photos are on each listing and we answer anything you want to know before you decide. The contract and deposit are handled remotely and the apartment is reserved in your name. Closing is done on WhatsApp.
